Paul Shishkoff Jr NCAA Men’s Basketball Bracket 01/15/12

The same four teams are your # 1 seeds (Duke, Syracuse, UConn, and Seton Hall), however there is a shake up for the # 1 overall seed.  The Duke Blue Devils are now the overall #1 seed over Syracuse.  This change occurred because the Duke Blue Devils have the toughest schedule in Division 1A, and Syracuse has the 4th toughest schedule.

And the Big Ten and Big East still dominate the brackets with a combined 16 teams in this week’s brackets.  The biggest surge comes from the Big Ten and the Illinois Fighting Illini.  The Illini went from a 9 seed to a 2 seed in over two weeks.  It also helps that you beat Ohio St. at home Last Tuesday.  Here are my brackets for Sunday January 15, 2012.

Paul Shishkoff Jr. NCAA Basketball Brackets 01/12/12

In this week’s bracket, there are 3 teams from the Big East who are #1 seeds.  Syracuse still has one, and U Conn now has one, but the surprise team are the Seton Hall Pirates.  The Pirates are # 2 in both RPI and in Strength-of-schedule with their only two losses to Northwestern and Syracuse.  The Pirates of Seton Hall hasn’t been good since their 1988-9 team who went to the National Championship and lost to Michigan.  Here are the brackets for January 12th, 2012.
